Office Of the First Lady

The Office of the First Lady is a team of people who work with the President's spouse, often called the First Lady, to support her in her various roles and responsibilities. They help her manage her schedule, coordinate events and appearances, handle correspondence, and work on initiatives or projects that she's passionate about. The office may also include staff members who specialize in areas like communications, policy, and outreach to assist the First Lady in carrying out her duties effectively.

Office Of the Social Secretary

The White House Social Secretary is in charge of planning and organizing events hosted by the President and First Lady, like state dinners, receptions, and ceremonies. They handle everything from invitations to decorations, making sure events run smoothly and reflect the administration's values and priorities. They also coordinate with other staff and government agencies to ensure events are successful and memorable. Essentially, they're like the event planner for all official gatherings at the White House.

Holidays At The White House

Easter

Easter at the White House is a special tradition where the President and First Lady host various events to celebrate Easter. This typically includes activities like the Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn, where children participate in egg-rolling races and other fun games. The White House may also hold Easter egg hunts, receptions, and other festive events for guests. It's a time for the First Family to share the holiday spirit with the public and engage in traditions that have been part of the White House Easter celebrations for many years.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving at the White House is a special time when the President and First Family celebrate the holiday with various traditions and events. They often participate in activities such as pardoning a Thanksgiving turkey, which is a symbolic gesture to spare the bird from being eaten. The President may also deliver a Thanksgiving message to the nation, expressing gratitude and reflecting on the meaning of the holiday. Additionally, the First Family may host a Thanksgiving dinner for White House staff, military personnel, or other guests, featuring traditional Thanksgiving dishes like turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Thanksgiving at the White House is a time to come together, give thanks, and share in the spirit of gratitude and unity.

Christmas

Christmas at the White House is a festive time filled with traditions and celebrations. The First Family typically decorates the White House with beautiful Christmas decorations, including a large Christmas tree in the Blue Room, which is often the centerpiece of the decorations. The White House also hosts various holiday events and receptions, such as holiday parties for staff, members of Congress, and military families. Additionally, there are often performances by choirs, musicians, and other entertainers to spread holiday cheer. The White House Christmas celebrations are a way for the President and First Lady to share the holiday spirit with the public and create lasting memories during the holiday season.
